Directions: | From north (A760): Take second exit from
roundabout at the police station, down Main Street. It is basically
a straight road from here. This then becomes Newton Street,
then Avlis Place. Follow the road round to the right at the
bottom along Holmhead and then straight through the traffic
lights towards Beith (Kirkland Road). 100 yards after traffic
lights (opposite cemetery) Valefield is visible on the left
hand side. |

Social club: | There is no social club, but Garnock Labour
Club is relatively nearby. To get there, turn right at above
traffic lights, towards Dalry then 4th on left as you are just
about to leave town. Another alternative is the Glendale Arms
which is next to Glengarnock station and is popular with supporters. |
Notes: | Kilbirnie Ladeside's ground is situated
at the southern end of the town near the village of Glengarnock.
There are two turnstiles, one on the main road and one behind
the Glengarnock end goal. The two stands are quite interesting.
One is decked out with wooden sleepers for terracing while the
other is (like the rest of the ground) concrete stepped. Opposite
the two covered enclosures is a small open terrace with the
club's hospitality areas also found here. The Ladeside committee
have worked hard to spruce up the ground, and believe it is
one of the best in the West of Scotland juniors. |
