Harthill Royal joined the Juniors prior to season 1992-93 when they switched from the amateur ranks (their previous name was Harthill Royal Bar - deemed inappropriate for the Juniors). Incidentally, Gibbshill Park used to be known as Beechbank Park and was the home of now defunct side Polkemmet Juniors, who went under in 1988.
In summer 2022 Harthill Royal moved from the West of Scotland League to the East of Scotland League.
